Colnago frame 56,5 cm

A beautiful Colnago Super Profil road frame. The frame was built in the 80s. It was the high end frame of Colnago.

Context:

A Colnago Super Profil frames, the predecessor to the Colnago Master frames. The frame was built in the 80s. The Super Profil is the first in this particular line. It was released in 1982, was similar to the previous Super built with Columbus SL tubes, but had distinctive crimps on the sides of the top tubes.

Condition: the frame has its strengths and weaknesses. Chrome: the chrome of standing tubes is in very good condition. It has some slight weak points (almost not visible). The frame paintwork has weak spots on the top tube and down tube. Top tube: see picture n° 5. The painting is off, but the primer is holding. The down tube has clear marks, see picture n° 6 and 7. If the frame is on the wheels, fortunately none of this can be seen. Now for the chrome fork: it's about 95% fine and 5% patina. The patina can be seen on closer inspection. All in all a frame with ups and downs. If you accept signs of usage and patina, then this frame can be fine for you.
